I am a nineteen-year-old currently studying computer science and English at Stony Brook University. I was born on November 22, 1999 in Maspeth, NY. From an early age I showed a passion for reading and writing, with some of my earliest pieces being published in my elementary school’s literary magazine. I began reading before I even started school, and was always delighted to curl up with a book in my free-time as I was growing up.
When I was attending Msgr. McClancy Memorial High School, I began showing significant promise in my advanced placement courses, particularly English and math, and even went on to take college-level courses in these subjects. By the time I was getting ready to move away to college, I had started writing for the Odyssey Online (@shannonconnors), where I continued to write weekly articles about a wide range of topics until April of 2019. In February of 2018, I began writing for the Stony Brook Her Campus chapter, where even more of my writing can be found, with new content being posted weekly throughout the semester. I wrote for iConcept Media and Biznob during the fall of 2018, and was picked up by Trill Magazine to begin writing in early 2019. In the future, I hope to extend my work to other online platforms, and am currently in the process of writing my first full-length novel.
I am always looking for new online publications to write for, and my resume can be found under the “Work” tab. For samples of my published work, check out the “Published Writing” tab. For my more informal pieces that I have self-published here, my Blog can be found under the “Blog” tab. Links to all of my social media profiles can be found at the header of this website, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, GitHub, and GoodReads. Samples of my course work can be found under the “Academia” tab, and of course please feel free to contact me in the “Contact” tab by sending me a message using your name, email, and whatever message you would like to send.
